Oh, the Irony :/

Someone stole my “Coexist” magnet off my car today. It didn’t fall off. Someone took it. It rained really, really hard today, then stopped in early afternoon. When I got to my car in the parking lot after class, there was only the line of dirt where the sticker had been. If it had fallen off while I was driving that morning, the dirt outline would have been washed away by the rain. But no.

I’m still trying to decide if the person who took it really, really disagreed with it, or was so taken (ha) with the concept that the irony of stealing such a sticker was simply lost on them. *sigh* Humanity. I will never understand.

jaegerjaquez--sexta asked: ooc; Hello :) I'll be more than happy if you please read and helped me spread this <3 www(.)brocifiesmyenemies(.)tumblr(.)com/post/30876830798/the-make-an-artist-happy-project-read-this Thank you! I think it concerns you, since you're one (amazing) artist :)

Aw, thanks! ^^ And thank you so much for bringing this to my attention! Citing the source of art you post is so important, and so many people neglect to do so. At the very least, if someone posts something, and they don’t know who made the work and absolutely can’t track it down, it would be awesome to even indicate, “This work does not belong to me. I don’t know who the artist is, but if you recognize this work, please let me know so I can give credit.”

Reposting your link so it’s not full of parentheses:

This is the birthday card I made for my dad (which I’ll give to him tomorrow). It’s a horrible, terrible, very bad art history joke, which you probably have to have taken an art history class to get. If you’re one of the people who’s taken art history, I hope you are chuckling along with me. ^^ The image on the left is the cover, and the text on the right is on the inside.India Ink. I got to see the cheetah in person a few moths ago at a local art show! It was epic! :3

Sayaka Ganz was born in Yokohama, Japan and grew up living in Japan, Brazil, and Hong Kong. Currently she teaches design and drawing courses at Indiana University–Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW).

Using reclaimed plastic household objects as her materials, Sayaka’s recent sculptures depict animals in motion with rich colors and energy.

Love it!

I will never stop crying at flashmobs. And this is the first concert piece I ever memorized note for note as a band student, when I was 11 or so.

My grin just got wider and wider as people came out.

Beautiful.

I have never really liked this piece until this moment.

A promotional booklet I designed and illustrated for the “Travel Lecture Series” hosted by Washington University in St. Louis in 2010. I built the illustrated compass in Adobe Illustrator, and did the layout in InDesign.

A promotional poster I designed for the “National Portfolio Days” hosted by Washington University in St. Louis. They wanted something that was “bright” and “fun” that made use of an actual icon of a portfolio. The poster was mailed to high schools and prospective students.
